Sharpak 60, 120 and 220 PHARMApak containers with VisiLOCK.

The Sharpak 60, 120 and 220 PHARMApak containers, as well as being approved for the collection and disposal of used sharps, have now also been UN type tested and approved for the collection of waste medicines in their original packagings. The UN type testing was carried out using test fills consisting of a mixture of medicines including tablets, capsules, creams, gels, powders, pastes, liquid unit dose drugs, ampoules/vials, bottles of liquid and syrups in their original packagings and needles and syringes. It is the responsibility of the consignor to record the correct UN transport classification number or European Waste Code number on to the container label e.g. UN 3249, UN 1851 and/or EWC code 18 01 09.

To obtain the correct UN classification or European Waste Code (EWC) for the waste in question, consult your Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA). These Code GREEN Sharpak Pharmapak containers MUST NOT be used for the collection and disposal of any cytotoxic or cytostatic waste.
