According to the regulations, there is a requirement for sharps containers, to safely dispose clinical sharps, such as medical needles and other sharp medical instruments.
We provide these sharps containers, which are divided into two main groups. This includes sharps containers for single use which are disposed of with the waste inside and reusable sharps containers, where machines are used to empty and sterilise them before they are returned for re-use.

Our range of sharps containers is offered in a variety of sizes and produced with the following colour lids and labelling as required.
Orange sharps containers are used for infectious waste. They provide a dispose for fully discharged sharps not contaminated with cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines or sharps not contaminated with medicinal products.
Yellow sharps containers for infectious waste- cytoxic-cytostatic waste. They are used for partially discharged sharps not contaminated with cytotoxic or cytostatic medicines.
Our Purple sharps containers are used for sharps contaminated with cytotoxic and cytostatic medicines.
For additional safety Sharpak Healthcare are also able to supply HYDRI patented absorbent mats which can be placed in the base of sharps containers and sacks to soak up any free liquids.
